Present at Ferrari since 2021, Carlos Sainz could leave the Italian team after winning the constructors' world championship on Sunday evening in Abu Dhabi. The Italian team is in fact approaching this last meeting of the season with a 21-point deficit on McLaren. If the Woking troops have been waiting for the collective reward since 1998, Ferrari is not far behind with a last constructors' title obtained in 2008, the year of the coronation of Lewis Hamilton with… McLaren.
For Sainz, this challenge will create a weekend where two emotions will mix, the sadness of saying goodbye to the teams with which he has collaborated for four seasons, and the intensity that the fight for the world title represents: "I think this weekend will be very emotional, and intense as well. Emotional because it's the last weekend with Ferrari, and intense because there's a lot at stake with the constructors' title."

History will tell us if the Spanish driver will manage to offer this gift to the whole Scuderia, but one thing is certain, he will not lack motivation to help his team reach the firmament, before taking on the role of builder on Tuesday at Williams, where he hopes to also play a role in the return of the British team to the forefront. And if he wins the constructors' title with Ferrari, 16 years after the last one, another challenge will await him at Grove, where the world crown has been awaited since 1997...

Logical attitude from the Smooth Operator who is one of the drivers if not the best educated driver on the F1 grid! I imagine that a Constructors title should generate a small salary bonus for all or part of the members of the Scuderia 2024!
