Sauber: Russian rescue plan is late

Sauber is still in difficulty. The Swiss team, which announced in mid-July that it had found an agreement with several Russian investment funds close to power to ensure its survival, is currently encountering delays with respect to this rescue plan. A delay which could be explained according to Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal of the team based in Hinwil, by “bureaucratic hurdles and complex issues of detail”. According Welt, who quotes the Austrian manager, Sauber is still under pressure from Ferrari, which is demanding payment of an invoice of 9 million euros for the supply of its engines before the end of the summer break, this month of August.

In fact, Monisha Kaltenborn and Peter Sauber, the founder of the eponymous team, would, according to Bild-Zeitung, is giving up their vacation this month in order to go to Moscow.
