Sauber loses appeal to van der Garde

The starting grid for the Australian Grand Prix this Sunday could well see a first change. The Supreme Court of Victoria in Australia confirmed its first judgment in the case between Giedo van der Garde and the Sauber team. The Dutchman, who claimed to have a firm contract for 2015, sued the formation ofHinwil after the tenure of the Brazilian Felipe Nasr and the Swede Marcus Ericsson. After the hearings and Sauber's defense, the judges ruled in favor of van der Garde, with Sauber immediately appealing the decision.

Sauber has not yet communicated following this lost call. It now remains to be seen who will be behind the wheel of the C34s this weekend for the first Grand Prix of the year.
