Sauber presents its C34

Still powered by the turbo/hybrid V6 Ferrari, the Sauber C34 unveiled this Friday by the Swiss team, presents a predominantly blue and yellow livery which contrasts radically with its predecessors. The arrival of the sponsor Bank of Brazil, which supports the titular driver carioca Felipe Nasr, is no stranger to this change.

Like the single-seaters already revealed so far, the main aesthetic novelty of the car byHinwil is located at the level of the nose, lower than in 2014, in accordance with the new regulations. The other modifications concern in particular the sidepods, thinner than on the C33, and a rear less bulky than in the past. “2014 was a very disappointing year, admits Monisha Kaltenborn, Sauber Team Principal. However, that is in the past, and we are now focusing on the future. We are confident for the new season. We have to progress, and be able to fight for points. »

It is the Swede Marcus Ericsson who will start testing at Jerez in Spain this Sunday.
