Sauber ready to defend against Giedo van der Garde

The dispute between Sauber F1 Team Giedo van der Garde will be judged this Monday March 9 in Melbourne, a few days before the season opener with the Australian Grand Prix. The former reservist pilot of the structureHinwil took his former team to court after being put in the hot seat in favor of Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson, while the Dutchman claims to have a contract as a regular driver.

Despite everything, Sauber F1 Team remains confident as to the outcome of the case. “It would be inappropriate to comment on specific details as this matter is currently ongoing. However, we will take all necessary measures to protect our company, this team and its interests”, underlined Monisha Kalterborn, Team Principal of the Swiss team.

The Swiss team clarified that Giedo van der Garde's action follows a first request rejected in Switzerland.
