Schumacher has turned the page on Canada

Michael Schumacher is in distress this season since it still only has two points in the Championship after seven races contested. The pilot Mercedes could have scored a top ten at the Canadian Grand Prix but the seven-time world champion had to throw in the towel following a DRS failure which remained stuck in the open position. The German does not want to express any dissatisfaction with his team and remains optimistic for the European Grand Prix this weekend in Valencia where he hopes to see his bad luck end. Paul Hembery, the sporting director of Pirelli, would even seem to believe in a victory for the former world champion.

The driver of the star manufacturer assures in any case that he has turned the page on the episode experienced in Montreal and displays the optimism required for the Valencia race. “Our full attention is now focused on Valencia.”, underlines the former world champion. “I am sure that the motivation of the whole team is stronger after the weekend in Montreal which did not go as we would have liked. Our rule during these last days was to roll up our sleeves and concentrate on the work at hand. The whole team has adopted this approach and we can go to Valencia in a positive mood. The race location is very nice and the circuit is also interesting. »
