Sebastian Vettel: “It wasn’t easy”

Sebastian Vettel will start tomorrow in pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix. When leaving his Red Bull, the German admitted to being satisfied with his qualifying session. “I would like to say that it was a very difficult weekend before qualifying, underlines the world champion. I'm happy because the car was never on the pace yesterday and was not as we hoped this morning. We knew the car had potential, the most important thing was to believe in it. There was not a single problem with the car, nothing broke down. It wasn't easy, we didn't get the laps we wanted. A little traffic, a few errors? We now focus on the race. »

In Australia, Red Bull attracted the ire of certain teams for not having used the SREC in qualifying and in the race. For Sepang, the Austrian team has resolved certain reliability concerns and will use it this weekend. “We received criticism last time for running without the SREC and we came here with it after fixing the problems in our system, notes Sebastian Vettel. I think we wouldn't be in such a good position without him, so it's a great achievement, my compliments to everyone. »
