Sebastian Vettel understands public reaction

Sebastian Vettel did not want to be touched by the whistles addressed to him on the podium at Marina Bay after the Championship leader dominated the Singapore Grand Prix head and shoulders. Several personalities from the paddock came to support the three-time world champion, highlighting the exceptional driving achieved by the German who moved at a different pace than the rest of the peloton. However, the multiple winner of the season preferred to emphasize the density of the supporters of the Team Ferrari.

The pilot Red Bull Racing returned to the public's disenchantment in Sport Bild, emphasizing the fact that these situations are found in other sporting disciplines. “If the sport is your passion and you have a favorite driver, it’s normal to support them. This also implies that you are against his opponents. I can live with that. For me it's simple: if I'm in a football stadium and the referee's decision goes against the interests of my team, I'm going to join the group and call them an idiot too. It's nothing personal. I learned that I can't please everyone. If I sign 100 autographs, the 101st one waiting will be angry, that's a fact. What we do doesn't matter. The main thing is to be honest with yourself and be able to go to sleep with a clear conscience. »
