Sebastian Vettel gives his opinion on the Shield

Sebastian Vettel will have been the first driver to take to the track this morning with the famous Shield system, installed on the Ferrari SF70H of the four-time world champion. A cockpit protection system now tested by the FIA, this Shield does not seem to have given the world championship leader a good first impression.

« I tried it this morning and I felt a little dizzy, comments Vettel in the Silverstone paddock. Forward vision is not very good. It's probably because of the curvature, you have a lot of distortion, and in addition you have aero disturbances in the straight lines which push the helmet forward. We had planned a ride, but I didn't like it, so we took it off. »

The FIA ​​is expected to conduct new testing sessions with this Shield during the year, with the stated desire being to introduce a solution for the next season.
