Just like in 2011 and 2012, Sebastian Vettel and his team Red Bull are nominated for Laureus Awards 2013, a world-renowned sporting distinction. The youngest triple world champion in the history of Formula 1 will have some great people in front of him including the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and the athlete Mo Farah. He will again be pitted against the swimming legend, the greatest medalist in the history of the Olympic Games, swimmer Michael Phelps, but also against the British and winner of the 2012 Tour de France Bradley Wiggins. Finally, Argentine football star Lionel Messi, who has just won a record fourth Ballon d'Or, completes the bench of nominees.

As for Red Bull, nominated in the category of sports team of the year 2012, it will be opposed to the Spanish football team, the American basketball team, the Chinese table tennis team, against the Miami Heat, the Florida basketball team playing in the NBA as well as facing the European Ryder Cup team in Golf, which beat its American counterpart last year.
