Still positive for Covid-19 the day before, Sebastian Vettel will not compete in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix whose first test sessions take place this Friday. His stable Aston Martin thus announced that it is his compatriot Nico Hulkenberg who will play the entire weekend alongside Lance stroll for this second round of the 2022 season. The four-time world champion of Formula 1 had already missed the first race of the season, the Bahrain Grand Prix, for the same reasons. Hülkenberg took 17th place. A great performance for someone who was barely familiar with the new regulations.

« It was interestingexplained the pilotIt was very difficult in all honesty, it was my first race in a long time. There are so many things happening in the race, it's so dynamic, the balance of the car changes, the fuel load changes, so it's hard to keep up with all these changes and stay fit. » Nico Hülkenberg added that he would be ready if the British team were to call on him for a second stint. Aston Martin hopes to count on Sebastian Vettel for the third event of the season, the Australian Grand Prix (April 10).
