Sebastian Vettel plays modest in Brazil

Sebastian Vettel has been simply invincible since the Belgian GP in the middle of the season. The four-time world champion ends the 2013 season by winning in Brazil. If the German missed his start and let himself be passed by Nico Rosberg, the driver Red Bull quickly regained control of the situation. The confusion which reigned in the stands following the premature recall of the German driver, following the accident between Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas, and which ruined his lead over his teammate Mark Webber, did not even worry the reigning champion.

If Sebastian Vettel did not let his teammate Mark Webber win for his last Grand Prix in F1, the German insisted on letting his teammate speak first on the podium before speaking. “Thanks Mark. We didn't have the best relationship, but we always had mutual respect for each other and were a successful crew for the team. »

Sebastian Vettel set a new record in Sao Paulo by signing a ninth consecutive victory. The record of Michael Schumacher is equaled with 13 successes. “I think we shouldn't compare (records). The eras in which they were made are different: the cars let go more and the teams were not as constant. It's a different type of record. For everyone on the team, we just like to give our best. This team has a fantastic state of mind. It's sad in a way that the year is ending because the car was phenomenal and it improved with each race. I'm sure everyone is waiting for the break to recover. »
