Sebastian Vettel does not lose hope in Singapore

Red Bull Racing can hope to achieve a good result at the Singapore Grand Prix. The urban circuit suits the RB10s better than the fast tracks recently encountered and the Milton Keynes team remains on three victories in a row with Sebastian Vettel. Although the German performed well, the four-time world champion was once again struck by bad luck when he encountered a mechanical problem at the end of the first session requiring an engine replacement.

If the three-time winner of the Singapore GP was able to use an old engine without receiving a penalty, the work of the mechanics prevented the German from competing for a large part of the second session. Thanks to the superb work of the team, Sebastian Vettel was able to take to the track to complete five laps on super soft tires and set the fifth fastest time, half a second off the benchmark and two tenths behind his teammate. Daniel Ricciardo“I don’t believe in luck or bad luck. We have accomplished great things in the past and it is not because of luck. It's a little different this year because I've had a lot of problems, but that's life. »

Despite these repeated problems, Sebastian Vettel remains hopeful for the rest of the weekend even if he lacks driving. “We have managed to overcome the problems and it is gradually improving. We seem pretty good this weekend. It was important to have this feeling with the super soft tires. »
