Sebastian Vettel expects tough battle

Little in sight during free practice, Sebastian Vettel managed to turn the tide this Saturday in qualifying, as wished yesterday after the first Hungarian day. Once again best of the rest behind the untouchable Silver Arrows of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, the German la Team Ferrari was delighted to have found the right solutions.

“It's true, we had a difficult day yesterday, with some things slowing us down and stopping us and it was difficult to get a good feeling with the car. So today I'm happy that we found the right direction, commented Vettel.

We tried to build in free trials 3, then, throughout qualifying the car continued to improve. I think third is the most we could do today. We can be very, very happy, especially with the difficult start this weekend and now obviously we have hope of a good race. »

The driver of the SF15-T n°5 believes that everything remains possible in the race tomorrow, but remains realistic, particularly regarding the threat from other teams. “Who knows, at this track there are usually a lot of things happening on Sundays, so maybe we can do something against them (Mercedes), But I expect a close race with those behind, Williams et Red Bull in particular. »

The Hungarian Grand Prix will be followed live with commentary from 14 p.m. on AUTOhebdo.fr, and photos from the weekend can be viewed here.
