Sergio Pérez confirmed by Force India

Stability will be essential at Force India in 2016. A few days after confirming the presence of the German Nico Hülkenberg for the next two years, Vijay Mallya's training has just done the same with the Mexican Sergio Pérez for the coming season. The former resident of the Sauber stables and McLaren will play his third campaign with the Indo-British team.

“I am very happy to confirm that I will remain with Force India,
comments the 25-year-old pilot. This means I can simply concentrate on what matters: driving and scoring points for the team. Since arriving here, I have really progressed as a driver and I am at my best level.

I always told myself that I wanted to establish myself in a team and this is the right time to announce my involvement for the future with Force India. I feel the potential of the team and there is good energy, which gives me confidence for next year. I think we can continue to get strong results and I will do my best to help push the team forward. »

“Sergio has the right attitude and never gives up. It’s this fighting spirit that fits well with this team, adds Vijay Mallya. You only need to look at his results over the last three races to see that he is at his best level. »

Pérez will have the opportunity to shine for the first time on his land in F1 in a few weeks, the World Championship will stop at the newly renovated venue Mexico City Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, the weekend of November 1st.
