After contracting Covid-19 during an express trip to Mexico between the Hungarian and British Grand Prix, Sergio Pérez was unable to start the last two races. Checo had to give up his steering wheel to Nico Hulkenberg time to heal. Done.
After a positive PCR test in the run-up to the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix (August 7-9), Sergio Pérez is now able to get back on his RP20. The Mexican responded favorably to the FIA protocol which authorized him to start the Spanish GP this Sunday as confirmed by Racing Point.

Back, Checo must quickly obtain good results to move up the drivers' ranking and above all allow Racing Point (5th) to get back on track. Ferrari (3e) and McLaren (4th). Nico Hülkenberg remains available in the event of a new alert, hoping for a definitive return as a starter next year.
