Sergio Perez: “Even more confident”

For his first grand prix of the season in Australia, Sergio Perez left an impression on everyone. The GP2 vice-champion finished in 7th place. Unfortunately, his team's disqualification for a non-compliant rear wing ruined his efforts. The Mexican was the only driver to make only one pit stop, much to the astonishment of Pirelli and most of the top teams. His exemplary tire management leaves us wondering about the rest of the season.

“Obviously I am very motivated and I can't wait to compete in my second race. F1, enthuses Perez. I think we have a good car. She is fast enough to score points and she is reliable. I hope we can gain consistency and have more good races. Now, with the experience of my first grand prix, I know better what to expect in qualifying and the race and I am even more confident. I know the Sepang circuit thanks to a GP2 Asia race in 2009. It is very physically and technically demanding. The circuit is long, it is difficult to do a perfect lap. »

The next grand prix will take place from April 8 to 10 at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia.
