Sergio Pérez wants to continue his good streak

Since the introduction of Force India's VJM08 B version to Britain, Sergio Pérez signed its best results since the start of the championship. The Mexican notably remains in fifth place in Belgium and sixth in Italy.

« I feel more and more comfortable with the new car, admits the former driver McLaren. I made good progress at Spa and since then I have the confidence to attack and get the best out of our package. This is a good sign for the rest of the year. » Pérez will also be able to count on new developments made by Force India during the rest of the season, starting this weekend.

“As I have been saying for some time, the fight in the middle of the grid for fifth place in the championship will be tight, comments boss Vijay Mallya. It was important to score big points at Monza to regain this position, but with seven races still to go we cannot afford to relax. Development of the VJM08 will continue and we will have to take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself. »

Perhaps as early as this weekend on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, where Sergio Pérez has always scored points in four participations, with a seventh place as his best result last year.
