Shwartzman and Fuoco with Ferrari during young driver testing

After testing the 71 SF2018-H a few weeks ago on the Fiorano track, Robert Shwartzman will make his official debut behind the wheel of a Formula 1 at the end of the season. The Russian driver will indeed take the wheel of the SF1000 in Abu Dhabi, during the young driver tests.

Currently in Formula 2 and member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, the FIA champion Formula 3 in 2019 is necessarily delighted: “I’m really looking forward to getting into the 2020 car and hitting the track alongside many of the drivers I’m battling against in Formula 2 this year. I'm going to enjoy every minute of this great experience that's been given to me.", did he declare.

The other car Italian will be driven by Antonio Fuoco. A former member of the Scuderia's junior program, the Italian is currently the official driver of the Ferrari simulator and will have the opportunity to compare his virtual sensations behind the wheel of the "real" car, to ensure that the simulator is always perfectly calibrate.

Formula Champion Renault Alps 2.0 in 2013, the native of Cariati had achieved two successes in GP3 Series in 2016 and one in Formula 2 in 2017 during his years in promotion formula. “I'm very happy to be back behind a real wheel, after doing a lot of laps in the SF1000 simulator. It's really useful in my position to have the opportunity from time to time to be behind the wheel to check the correlation between the tools I usually use and the way the car behaves on the track." he explained.
