Silverstone completes its transformation

Next July, supporters of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button should travel en masse to encourage their protégé at Silverstone, during the British Grand Prix. But this season the drivers will have to acclimatize to a new layout, a small part of the circuit having been modified, as for the spectators, they will benefit from new facilities.

The work is nearing completion, as confirmed by Richard Phillips.

“The work is progressing as planned, declared the Managing Director of the Silverstone circuit to the autosport.com website. The team worked day and night, despite difficult weather conditions, to get everything ready on time. Work at Brookland and Woodcote is complete, as is the new pit entrance. As for the new section of the circuit, it is progressing well. There is still much to do, especially regarding the mounds and new viewing points for spectators, which will continue beyond March. »

The Silverstone circuit is getting a makeover. So much the better, because Bernie Ecclestone and the organizers of the Grand Prix have reportedly signed a contract for the next 17 years.
