According to Sky News information, the seven-time world champion Formula 1, as well as American tennis legend Serena Williams, would invest around ten million pounds sterling each in the consortium of Sir Martin Broughton, former chairman of British Airways, who wishes to buy the Chelsea football club. The British club, based in the chic eponymous district of London, is awaiting a new owner following the departure of Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich at the beginning of March. According to our colleagues across the Channel, Sir Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams have been in talks with the Broughton consortium for several weeks, which may come as a surprise as the pilot Mercedes is a supporter of Arsenal, a London club rival of Blues from Chelsea.

Still according to Sky News, if Sir Martin Broughton's consortium wins the bid for the takeover of Chelsea (three projects are in competition), Sir Lewis Hamilton would like to play a role in promoting diversity, inclusiveness and equality in the within the reigning European champion club.
