Poll – Was Red Bull right to fire Ricciardo before the end of the season?

No longer considered to be living up to the hopes placed in him, Daniel Ricciardo has been sidelined by Red Bull for the end of the season. A good or bad decision?

That's a fact, Daniel Ricciardo will not finish the 2024 season in the colors of Racing Bulls. Not meeting the expectations of the management of Red Bull who relaunched it in 2023, Danny Ric' was asked to step down.

A difficult news to digest for the interested party, under pressure since the beginning of the season, especially since he was not able to really say goodbye during the last Grand Prix in Singapore because the announcement was not yet official. A decision that demonstrates the harsh law of this sport and especially of Red Bull's policy, the Austrian team being known for being merciless when it comes to discharging one of its own.

From Austin (October 18-20), Liam Lawson will be at the wheel of Daniel Ricciardo's car at Racing Bulls, as in 2023 when the Australian fractured his wrist. So, was Red Bull right to replace Daniel Ricciardo before the end of the season?

In charge of promotion formulas (F2, F3, FRECA, F4...). Carried by the grace of Franco Colapinto.

Yes, this internal war has already made Newey leave...and the others. Not to mention Jos Verstappen who is wound up like a clock against Horner. Now it's the drivers they're getting rid of left, right and centre or making flee. The Red Bull clan seems to be self-sabotaging. And I think it could well be a groundswell that started with the disappearance of Dietrich Mateschitz and which would be a war of succession from which the team could have difficulty recovering, when we see the plunge in terms of performance. Max Verstappen has barely been able to save at best two 2nd places in recent months to try not to sink with the ship. But how long will he be able to keep this team going?

Riccardo is fired by grandpa Marko, collateral victim of the war with Horner. RB Austria against RB Thailand majority at 51%. All the technical brains leave. Ricciardo is so bad that he slammed the best lap in the race in front of the 6 leaders and that for 4 races he is ahead of Yuki e to achieve the best score of the team this year. The temperamental grandpa of 83 years still working representing an energy drink for teenagers ... I wish Verstapen leaves, he would be great with Yuki and Lauson. I regret Daniel Ricciardo whose record speaks, how many F1 drivers can line up the same, and a nice and clean guy. I boycott the next 6 GP. I will move towards other mechanical disciplines.

If Perez leaves, he will have been well and truly washed out by Red Bull, who, by dint of taking and throwing away drivers like Kleenex, practically no longer have a valid driver to replace him. And if Verstappen decided to look elsewhere (giving in to Toto's sirens if Antonelli proved disappointing, or joining Newey at Aston after Alonso's retirement), RBR would find itself practically without a driver... Their "ruthless" policy with drivers risks leading them into a dead end.

With a view to 2025, the cans must quickly re-evaluate Liam Lawson in relation to Yuki Tsunoda (who will not be promoted to Red Bull because Horner does not want him), especially since the rumor is resurfacing about an announcement of TexMex's retirement at the next Mexican GP on October 27, 2024. If TexMex were indeed to retire at the end of 2024 (the team may already be aware, hence the ousting of the Honey Badger) and Lawson does not get the upper hand over Tsuhonda (unmovable until the end of 2025), headaches are to be expected for the Horner / Marko duo regarding the composition of the duos, both at Red Bull and Ridicilous Bulls, even if Hadjar seems in this case to have every chance of moving up to F1
