That's it, the first quarter of the world championship F1 2025 has already been completed, meaning six Grand Prix. This is an opportunity to take stock of certain statistics, particularly the driver and constructor standings. Thus, compared with the first six GPs of 2024, we can see real differences, both in terms of progress and regression.
F1 2025 Driver Rankings: Who's Doing Better Than in 2024? Who's Regressing?
Let's first look at the drivers. With four wins in six races this season, Oscar piastri, pilot McLaren, is logically the one who has experienced the greatest progression. Thus, in 2024, after six GPs, the Australian had 41 points. He currently has more than triple that, and is leading the championship with 131 points. His teammate, Lando Norris, is also progressing. A quarter of the way through the championship in 2024, he had 83 points. He has 115 today.
For his part, with only one success so far, Max Verstappen regresses. Indeed, after six GPs last year, he had 136 points. Compared to only 99 in 2025 after the same number of races contested. Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is also on the decline. The Monegasque had 98 points in his purse in 2024 at the quarter-final stage of the championship. He only has 53 in this spring of 2025.
Lewis Hamilton, goes from Mercedes at the Scuderia this offseason is also improving. With the Silver Arrow, last year, he had 27 points after six GPs. He has 41 at the quarter-final stage of the F1 championship this year. George Russell, still at Mercedes, is also progressing strongly (37 in 2024 vs. 93 in 2025).
Finally, on the French side, there is a slight improvement for Pierre Gasly et Esteban OconThe first one, still at Alpine, had still not opened his points counter after six races in 2024. He has scored 7 points so far. The other Norman on the grid, who moved to Haas, had only scored one point last year. He has 14 after six GPs in 2025.

What developments are there among manufacturers?
Obviously, among the manufacturers, the evolution between 2024 and 2025 goes hand in hand with that of their drivers. McLaren logically leads the championship with 246 points after six races. At the same time last year, the British firm was only third with 124 points.
Mercedes, fourth in the field at the quarter-final stage of the 2024 championship, with only 64 points, finds itself this time in second place with no less than 141 points. Obviously, the biggest declines are at Red Bull, currently third in the standings (1st in 2024) with 105. The Austrian team had 239 after six F1 GPs last year...
Ferrari isn't celebrating either. Second after six races in 2024, with 187 points, the Scuderia, in this spring of 2025, finds itself in fourth place with a mere 94 points... In the regression department, we also find Aston Martin (14 vs 42) and Racing Bulls (8 vs 19).
Finally, for the rest of the plateau, things are progressing. Whether for Alpine (7 vs 1), Haas (20 vs 7), Sauber (6 vs 0). And above all Williams, which makes a nice leap forward (37 pts vs 0 in 2024 after six GPs).
The number: 4
Last year, Max Verstappen led the championship with four wins in six races (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and China). This year, Oscar Piastri is the leader in F1, with him also four victories in the first six GPs contested (China, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Miami). Is the Australian doomed to the same fate as his Dutch counterpart at the end of the season?
