Steiner: “Everyone would be happy to see Haas last”

Günther Steiner has a habit of defending tooth and nail his team and the critics of Renault evoking Haas like a satellite stable of Ferrari did not please the Italian. The Team Principal of the American structure had no shortage of respondents.

“I don’t care about these comments. I don't really understand what they mean and neither do they. It's often those who don't understand why we do such good work. They say we are just copying Ferrari, but the regulations are clear on what is possible and what is not possible and we follow them to the letter. I don't care what they think of us." said the director of Haas F1 team.

The American team will only be competing in its 64th Grand Prix, but it is already well present in the middle of the pack as evidenced by its current 8th place tied with McLaren, allowing it to be ahead of Renault by two units.

“Everyone would be happy to see us last, that’s what everyone expects. This is where they thought they would find us when we arrived in F1. It has developed over the years with people becoming more and more critical. We get used to it, we live with it without worrying about it,” said Günther Steiner.
