Different strategy for Vettel in Monaco?

Sebastian Vettel won last year in the Principality by resisting for several laps with dying tires before taking advantage of an interruption in the race which allowed him to put on new tires. This year's race may be more complicated for the driver Red Bull who will only start from ninth place without having set a time in Q3. The German takes advantage of Pastor Maldonado's penalties (Williams) to move up to ninth place and start on soft tires while the rest of the drivers at the front will start with their super soft tires used the day before for the last qualifying session.

If overtaking is perilous on the Monaco turnstile, the double world champion's offbeat strategy could pay off. “I'm a little mixed after my qualifications. I looked very competitive (yesterday morning) but then I took a wrong path which made the car difficult to drive in qualifying. It's a bit disappointing because Mark (Webber, who will start from pole following the penalty of Michael Schumacher) proved what the car could do here. I could adopt a different strategy because I can start on soft tires unlike the cars in front of me. We'll see how the first stint goes. It's difficult to make predictions because the race will be long. »
