For this fifth stage of the season, F1 met in the United States, for the first of the two rounds across the Atlantic (Austin, October 23). After going through a week worthy of a real American show, the drivers finally discovered this famous track, bordering the imposing stadium of the Miami Dolphins, the Hard Rock Stadium. Located in a parking lot, the circuit has many surprises in store, alternating between fast sections and winding sections, to the great pleasure of actors and fans.

Si Valtteri Bottas, Carlos Sainz et Esteban Ocon experienced muscular exits from the track, as evidenced by the discontent of the last two cities over the absence of Tecpro, only the French driver was unable to participate in the qualifying session. Esteban Ocon will logically start in last position on the starting grid, while Sainz (2nd) and Bottas (5th) shone in Q3 this Saturday afternoon.

Very comfortable throughout the free practice sessions, the Mercedes, who we thought had been found, struggled in qualifying. As evidenced by the warmth offered Lewis Hamilton in Q1, just qualified. While George Russell battled for an enigmatic twelfth place thereafter. The seven-time world champion is sixth on the grid, behind his ex-teammate Bottas.
