The Historic French Grand Prix sets up shop for the first time on the Circuit Paul-Ricard. A week before the modern version, the old single-seaters will make their engines sound on the Var track. Eight races are on the program starting at 11:45 a.m.

The flagship grids that are the Masters Historic Formula One (F1 from 1966 to 1985) and the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association (1950s and pre-1966) are in full swing, with legendary models like the McLaren M23 world champion 1974 with Emerson Fittipaldi, three Maserati 250Fs or the Lotus 18, 21, 24 dear to Jim Clark.

The contemporary period is not forgotten with the Maxx Formula and its potpourri of single-seaters (Tyrrell from 1993, Super Aguri from 2006 or even Toro Rosso 2013) including other than F1 (Super Formula IndyCar, GP2).

En Formula 2, the European Champion of the discipline Jean-Pierre Jarier will reward the drivers who will compete at the wheel of single-seaters with 1cc or 600-liter engines seen between 3 and 2. Stars of the HVM Racing meetings, the Formula 3 and the Formula Renault will be present, with the regular actors of the Historic Tour, Frédéric Rouvier and Valerio Leone, and Carlos Antunes Tavares, the boss of the Stellantis Group.

Less powerful but more numerous (52 and 30 units), the Formula Ford and Formula Junior will offer an incessant spectacle, thanks to the long straight lines in Var where the aspiration will play a preponderant role.

But that's not all ! The sports prototypes of Le Mans invite themselves to the party thanks to the Masters Historic Sports Cars and the cohort of Lola and Chevron from the 70's, followed by the Masters Endurance Legends and its more recent cars like the Peugeot 90X from 2011 or a melodious Lola Aston Martin DBR1 from 2009.

Finally, the prize for the busiest field goes to the Lotus Trophy and its 61 Lotus Sevens or old Caterhams! A single 80-minute race for the pre-1966 GTs will concentrate the Jaguar E Type, Shelby Mustang, Cobra Daytona and other Austin Healeys.
