Behind the untouchable Max Verstappen, author of his second pole position in a row on Saturday, everything was somewhat turned upside down, giving rise to a starting grid for the Spanish Grand Prix that no one really expected. Behind Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris for example signed an improbable 3rd time while Pierre Gasly hung on the second row before receiving a 6-place penalty for hindering Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen in qualifying. The Norman will start 10th, when Stephen Ocon will start 6th.

Victim of comparison with his teammate since the start of the season, Lance stroll woke up and took 5th position on the grid which became 4th with the sanction of the Frenchman. Carried by its audience, Fernando Alonso will have to move up from 8th place this Sunday. After an escapade through the gravel in Q1, the driver Aston Martin missed out in Q3 and could not do better than 9th before gaining a place thanks to Pierre Gasly's penalty.

In the 2nd part of the grid, we will find some good people since Sergio Pérez and George Russell will start from the 6th row. Charles Leclerc, eliminated in Q1, will start from the pit lane after changing his gearbox.
