This is rare enough to be reported: Ferrari enters qualifying for the German Grand Prix as favorites. Sebastian Vettel (once) and Charles Leclerc (twice) each led the three free practice sessions held at Hockenheim, Friday and Saturday morning.
However, it would be presumptuous to draw a line under the Mercedes' chances of pole position. The German brand wishes to properly celebrate its 200th race in Formula 1, but also its 125 years of motorsport.

The Red Bulls intend to interfere in this fight, as they have been able to do since the beginning of the summer thanks to the developments made by the engine manufacturer Honda. The spectators present at Hockenheim are not safe from a performance of Romain Grosjean (Haas), who seems much more comfortable with his “old” aerodynamic kit.
Finally, two drivers will take part in the qualifying session from 15 p.m. with a brand new chassis: Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) and Robert Kubica (Williams), without receiving a penalty.
