Who can beat them Mercedes ? A priori not many people. The Black Arrows, who remain on six poles in six qualifications, will still be the ultra-favorites. With “party mode” still in place in Belgium, they should remain untouchable in qualifying. Behind, the fight should however be close between the Red Bull and Racing Point, including with Alexander albon, in view during free practice.

Another question, will the Ferraris make it through Q1? If we look at the tests, nothing is less certain. Sebastian Vettel et Charles Leclerc rolled in the times of Alfa Romeo and Williams with a last place for Vettel in EL3. The engine seems light years away from the one that allowed them to win the last two years at Spa-Francorchamps and the Team struggles to get its tires to work.
The Reds therefore risk being absent from the fight in the middle of the table. Renault, McLaren or even Alpha Tauri should fight for places in Q3.
All these considerations risk being shattered if rain comes to one of the sessions. The drivers will make the difference.
