Follow the Russian GP qualifying in live text

New qualifying session and new pole position which, barring a turnaround, should go to one of the two Mercedes. In Sochi, the Silver Arrows, as usual, dominated the free practice sessions from start to finish.

Friday is Valtteri Bottas who signed the two best times before Lewis Hamilton don’t imitate him this Saturday during EL3. Unsurprisingly, these qualifications should be animated by the fight between the Mercedes drivers and that of the rest. In this rest there are beautiful people.

The Renault de Daniel Ricciardo et Esteban Ocon are comfortable in Sochi but there are also McLaren de Carlos Sainz et Lando Norris or the Racing Point of Sergio Pérez and Lance stroll. On the side of Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel previews Q3. The German has systematically ranked in the Top 10 in practice and could finally find himself in the final part of qualifying. Slightly set back, Charles Leclerc can consider participation in Q3.
