The Ferraris got their weekend off to a good start in Shanghai with Sebastian Vettel's best time in Free Practice 1 Friday morning. But it was the Silver Arrows who regained the advantage during the following two sessions, with a Valtteri Bottas very dashing. The Finn presents himself as the favorite for these qualifications.
The fight for runners-up should be very interesting between the Renault, McLaren and the valiant Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo). The Haas were behind during the final free practice session (18th and 19th) but should move up the hierarchy.
To note, the package for this session of the Thai Alexander Albon (Toro Rosso). The rookie was the author of a spectacular accident at the end of FP3, his car cannot be repaired in time for Q1.
