Sutil: Sepang, a good testing ground for Sauber

After failing to reach the points gate at the Australian Grand Prix, Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutiérrez are preparing to compete in the Malaysian GP scheduled for next weekend, one of the toughest events of the season due to the hot and damp. The German was not successful last year since he retired due to a problem with a loose wheel. While only one race has been contested this season, the hierarchy is still far from being established in the peloton.

Adrian Sutil is therefore confident after coming close to the points last week in Melbourne. “The track offers many fast turns, long straights and a few hairpins, which makes it interesting”, comments Sauber's new recruit F1 team. “I am curious about the idea of driving the car on this track where aerodynamics play a big role. This is important to know where we are in the peloton. If a car is good at Sepang, it will also be good on the other circuits. We need everything here: good aerodynamics, grip in the corners and speed on the straights. I hope we progress race after race. The goal for Malaysia is to take a step forward. »
