Sutil, one year later

Sutil, one year later

When you drive a Force India, getting into the points is often just a dream. And when the opportunity presents itself, you shouldn't miss it. In Monaco, the matter is even more crucial?

On the most famous circuit of the season, Adrian Sutil already had good memories. For his first appearance at the wheel of a Spyker, the German was the fastest in the free practice sessions held in the rain: “I have loved this circuit since the F3. I have always been fast on narrow tracks. You have to know how to take risks to be fast. Don't be afraid to be familiar with the walls. »

Last year, thanks to a perfect race, Sutil was in fourth place ten laps from the finish after starting from eighteenth position: “I knew I had a chance in this race,” said he recalls. “I first rode at my own pace to avoid problems then I attacked as hard as possible to gain places. It ended less well. It?s certainly one of my best and worst memories. Even today, when I think about that race, I feel something strong. » Adrian subtly avoids recalling that Kimi Raikkonen had speared him?

For his third participation in the Monaco Grand Prix, Sutil hopes to once again show his potential: “My first objective is to reach Q2. All the cars are getting closer and closer to each other. In Monaco, we will have a good opportunity to progress on the grid, perhaps the best of the year. For the race, I hope for rain. We are much more competitive in these conditions. »
