Théo Pourchaire: “It was 100% pleasure”

In Austin, the Frenchman had the right to his big debut in the premier category by taking the wheel of Valtteri Bottas' Alfa Romeo in Free Practice 1, as part of the running reserved for rookies. The morning after his lovely performance, Théo tells us about his experience, his emotions and shouts out his desire for more.

After a good night's sleep, we imagine that you are still on cloud nine?

Oh definitely... I can't stop looking at the photos, the Canal + videos, and remembering everything that happened! It was exceptional. Everything went well too, so obviously it was 100% fun.

Tell us, first, about the minutes leading up to FP1. Was the pressure difficult to handle?

Il y avait forcément du stress parce que c’était une découverte, quelque chose de nouveau, une première en Grand Prix pour moi. Je devais être dans le rythme tout en ramenant la voiture en un seul morceau. C’était ma deuxième fois à
