At a time when the future of Formula 1 has returned to the forefront for several weeks, notably with a meeting of the Strategic Group in Great Britain which had drawn possible outlines for the 2017 horizon, Jean Todt, president of the FIA, gave his point of view on the current situation of the discipline, on the sidelines of the Monaco Grand Prix.

" For me, the overall situation of F1 is good. We simply may not have communicated enough, indicates the French in the columns of Nice-Matin. A question of costs which remains the battlehorse of several mid-grid teams, particularly since the introduction of the new V6 turbo/hybrid Power Units. Here again, Jean Todt considers the costs too high, but ensures that this parameter is taken into account. “That’s one of the things we’re working on. I am hopeful that we will find solutions, or even impose solutions. »
