Toro Rosso soon in Renault colors?

Tensions seem to have subsided since the Malaysian GP between Red Bull et Renault. Following the interview with Cyril Abiteboul, the director of Renault Sport F1, in the 2004 issue of AUTOhebdo, both parties seem to be looking to the future.

While the Losange plans to resume Toro Rosso to make it his own team, Dr Helmut Marko proposed another alternative which allowed Renault Sport F1 to have more visibility. “Renault spends a lot of money on this Power Unit, not as much as Mercedes but with a still significant investment. They face the same problem as us. Their commitment to F1 must pay off”, declared the Austrian on the official F1 website.

« Renault does not feel sufficiently represented on the marketing level. It is therefore envisaged that they will take over Toro Rosso or more likely that we will adapt a yellow livery so that they have better visibility. confirmed Dr. Helmut Marko. “Red Bull Racing's workforce and equipment are much larger. Without the know-how of Red Bull Racing, the competitiveness of Toro Rosso would be affected. Close relations between the two teams are essential for such a scenario. »
