Toro Rosso ahead of Red Bull

If, in previous seasons, Toro Rosso impatiently awaited the release of the car from the cousin's stable, Red Bull, the 2010 season marks a turning point for Franz Tost's team. This season, Toro Rosso is producing a single-seater which was designed and developed at the Faenza factory, and which does not depend on the work of Adrian Newey's teams. So, despite Red Bull's decision to only begin testing at Jerez on February 10, Toro Rosso will begin testing during the previous session.

« Toro Rosso will begin winter testing in Valencia on February 1, and we plan to do so with the STR5 », Commented a spokesperson for the team. But, for the moment, the driver duo has not yet been made official for these tests. If Sébastien Buemi was quickly renewed, Jaime Alguersuari has not been officially confirmed. However, after the ouster of Mirko Bortolotti from the Red Bull Junior Team, the hypothesis of seeing Daniel Ricciardo replacing Jaime Alguersuari has taken a turn for the worse. The Spaniard should play his second season of Formula 1.
