Toto Wolff adamant on strategy

Last night, Lewis Hamilton, second in Brazil behind his teammate at Mercedes Nico Rosberg, admitted during the press conference wish for more strategic possibilities in racing. The World Champion had in fact asked his team to change strategy to try to overtake his teammate.

Toto wolff, boss of the star team, was keen to clarify his team's position regarding the strategic aspect of the race. “We have our principles, when we talk about strategy, explains the Austrian on the discipline's website. It's been in place since 2013, and it works well. We will not change that. In the car, you don't have all the elements.

We have our strategy experts, and if the drivers in the car started making their own choices, they would lose every race. Strategy is not a decision driven by instinct. Yes, sometimes instinct can be good, but without all the data you wouldn't do things in order most of the time. »

With his Brazilian success, Nico Rosberg secured his second place in the championship against Sebastian Vettel, and once again prevented Lewis Hamilton from securing a first victory at Interlagos.
