Still no contract for Barcelona in 2020
The Catalunya circuit still does not have a contract with the F1 to host the Spanish GP in 2020. The organizers of the Spanish route reaffirmed this in a press release following speculation suggesting an extension for next year.
“No agreement has yet been reached with F1 to renew the contract for the Spanish Grand Prix at the Catalunya circuit. »
“Negotiations for the renewal of this agreement are still ongoing and they remain open. »
“As soon as an agreement is reached, whether for a renewal or not, the information will be officially revealed through the usual channels by the Catalunya circuit. »
The calendar for the next season should change significantly with the arrival of Hanoi and Zandvoort. As well as Barcelona, Hockenheim is also in the hot seat as the German circuit welcomes the F1 paddock this weekend. Mexico must also renew its contract just like Monza, even if the Italian circuit has a pre-agreement.
