Everything succeeds for Nico Rosberg

Despite a bad start at the Chinese Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg had a trouble-free race. The pilot Mercedes regained the lead of the event against Daniel Ricciardo from the start of the event while the Australian had to return to the pits following a puncture.

“My start just wasn’t good enough”, explained the Championship leader who now has a 36-point lead over his teammate Lewis Hamilton only seventh after his crash at the start. “Daniel had a very good start, but my car was very efficient today and I felt full of confidence. I attacked him in the straight and enjoyed a good lead afterwards. »

Nico Rosberg won with a lead of 37 seconds over Sebastian Vettel after avoiding trouble in the peloton. “I didn’t see what happened. I was just aware of my lead. I knew I had to increase it as much as possible and I'm glad it worked.", added the German.

Nico Rosberg is just one victory away from equaling the record of consecutive victories set by Alberto Ascari in 1952 and 1953 and by Michael Schumacher in 2004 and three victories from Sebastian Vettel's absolute record achieved in 2013.
