Trulli wants to fight for points

Jarno Trulli will once again be on the starting grids within Tony Fernandes' team in 2011. If the media torment somewhat disrupts the management of the team, Jarno Trulli only concentrates on the race. After a good start in 2010, the Italian wants to stay on this same upward slope.

The next season will represent a new opportunity for Jarno Trulli to wear the colors of his team, even if they remain unknown for the moment. “Apart from the 2010 season, which was a season of transition, I will approach 2011 as a new challenge for me. For me and for the team,” he commented in an interview published on paultan.org.

The objectives of the Malaysian team and the Italian are becoming clearer. “We want to fight higher up the grid, we want to score points and I would think it would be wonderful if we managed to do that,” he added. “It would be wonderful for me as well as for the whole team because both the team and the driver need motivation. »

Nevertheless, the former pilot Toyota knows that new teams can reach the top like never before. "If we want to do what Red Bull, it will take time,” he conceded. “If we look at what Red Bull was able to do with the resources they had at the start, it shows how hard this is for us. I raced for Toyota, they had immense resources and they never achieved their goals. »
