Title contender in 2022 and leading the championship during the first part of the season, Charles Leclerc finally watched helplessly at 2e coronation of Max Verstappen. The Monegasque tried to counter him, but the Dutchman was simply unplayable or his mistakes, like that of Paul Ricard, cost him dearly.

At the time of the incident, the pilot of the Team had been quite critical of him by recognizing that with these kinds of errors he didn't deserve to win the championship. » So for this new exercise, Charles Leclerc wanted to put all the chances on his side by starting with good winter preparation in the Dolomites in Italy.

Between ski sessions, driving on the ice, climbing and logically visits to the gym, “Il Predestinato” discussed its ambitions for 2023. “ There are obviously days when I'm not particularly happy to go to training, but that's life, it's part of the game, he jokes at first in his YouTube video. At the end of the day, it's the victory that motivates me. In 2022 we didn't make it, but I plan to do it this year.

We need to be as prepared as possible, and training is part of that. You have to be fit in the car and we give our best to be the best driver on the track. This is what motivates me."

After his mistakes in 2022, Charles Leclerc says he is a “more mature” man since each additional year in F1 allows him to learn new things. Hoping that this maturity will allow him to fight for the title until the end.
