“A small step back” Wednesday morning for Renault

Renault experienced a slight hitch in its winter testing program this Wednesday morning in Barcelona.

On track for the Losange, Esteban Ocon recognized at midday that the balance of its car was less satisfactory than over the 4 days of driving previous ones.

« We took a small step back today, the Norman recognized quietly. We haven't improved the car as much as we would have liked. We have a lot of data to analyze to find out where it comes from. The car behaved very well over the previous days. I'm not too worried.

There is still time to reach the level we are aiming for. Driving conditions in recent days have been complicated due to the wind. It’s the same for everyone so we try to adapt. We are still working on the balance of the car. Today we went in the wrong direction. The balance was less satisfactory compared to previous days ».

Ocon had completed 34 laps of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and set the 7th fastest time of the morning before handing over the wheel to his teammate Daniel Ricciardo
