A pilot Alpine world champion… of sim racing

Waiting for Pierre Gasly or Franco Colapinto one day wins the Grail, Alpine Another champion has emerged. Otis Lawrence (18 years old) has won the sim-racing world championship crown.

The title was decided at the final round of the season, which included races in Mexico City, São Paulo, and Abu Dhabi. Lawrence finished fifth at the Yas Marina Circuit after overtaking Bari Broumand in the closing laps. This secured him the title with 156 points, two points ahead of his closest rival. However, he missed out on the title by three points. Alpine to also seize the team crown.

Frenchman Nicolas Longuet finished 5th in the championship while riding for Williams.
