One point is enough for Grosjean to be happy for his 100th Grand Prix

The conclusion of the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas can only delight Romain Grosjean. Author of a mixed start to the weekend, just like his Haas team F1 Team, with chronic downforce problems, and regular losses of aero elements on the VF16, the Frenchman finally competed in a solid and reliable race to win a point which was enough to delight Gene Haas' structure, for the return of an American team on its grounds in F1, a first in 30 years.

“It ended pretty well today, indicates the former Lotus driver. The first lap was a bit chaotic, but I managed to get through all the pitfalls. Then, we decided to move on to an aggressive strategy.

It worked pretty well, so I'm happy. We were lucky that a few cars retired in front of us, but in the end we needed to finish the race. »

After a long drought, Romain Grosjean also made his return to the points, having not scored since Austria. “It’s good to score a point in front of our audience, continues the Frenchman.

I am very happy with this and for the mechanics too. It's been a long time since we last scored, and it's obviously a good thing to be able to score points at the end of the season. »
