A problem with the McLaren for Pérez?

Given the particularly wet conditions yesterday on the Interlagos circuit, it was not surprising to see Sergio Pérez hit the wall after losing control of his car. McLaren. Checo was trapped when going into a spin after attacking a curb too much, which condemned him to starting from 14th position at the Brazilian Grand Prix for his last race with the Woking team. If the Mexican admits that he was at the limit with his MP4-28, he thinks that his car maybe had a problem that forced him to push himself a little too much.

“I think we made the right decision in qualifying, but the car didn’t respond as it should.”, confided Sergio Pérez after the last qualifying sessions of the season. “Maybe the tire pressure was wrong because I couldn't find enough grip. My accident in Q2 seemed more impressive than it actually was. I slipped in the grass as soon as I lost the car and hit the wall, but it was only a light contact and the car was not badly damaged. I knew it was my last chance to set a time because it was getting worse with the rain and I had to push to the limit because the car wasn't handling well. I think we can gain places if the conditions remain the same. »

The start of the Brazilian Grand Prix will be at 17 p.m. Paris time and will be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr. Photos of the tests can be found on this link.
