“A great start to the weekend” for Stroll

As the other side of the Racing Point garage buzzed with unusual commotion, Lance stroll carried out its free practice program in a clear manner.

Author of the 3rd fastest time in the first driving session, the Canadian took the best mark of the opening day in the afternoon and thus confirms the beautiful dispositions of this RP20 which always fascinates as much as it annoys .

« The car was in the right window and the driving sensations were excellent., reported the Montrealer. We knew before the weekend that we had the means to achieve a good result on this track.

But qualifying only takes place tomorrow and the race on Sunday. It’s a great start to the weekend but we have to keep our heads on the handlebars ».

Stroll also wanted to send a few words of friendship to his usual teammate, Sergio Pérez, who was forced to withdraw after testing positive for Coronavirus. The Mexican was replaced at short notice by Nico Hulkenberg

« I think a lot about Checo, added Stroll. He is going through a difficult time and I wish him a speedy recovery. Given the level of performance of the car, I'm sure Nico appreciates his return ».
