An FIA investigation into USF1?

The US F1 team is definitely making headlines less than three weeks before the first GP of the season, but unfortunately not in a positive sense. The FIA reportedly conducted an investigation into the American team today.

According to Motorsport, the USF1 team was reportedly subject to an inspection by the FIA today regarding its preparation for the 2010 season. F1. After the statements of a member of the team who wished to remain anonymous, the about-face of Locstein who finally decided not to sponsor the American team and the rumors announcing the interest of Chad Hurley for Campos and Stefan GP , the International Automobile Federation seems to be taking an ever closer interest in the US F1 issue.

The British website suggests that Charlie Whiting visited the US F1 offices to see the progress of the American project and find out whether or not it is viable.

Having been contacted by our colleagues atMotorsport, the FIA has only stated that it has no comment to make for the moment, but we should soon know more about the future of Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor in F1.
