A mistake that costs Vergne dearly

During the qualifying session, the driver Toro Rosso did not manage to do better than 20th time, behind the Caterham CT-01s of Vitaly Petrov and Heikki Kovalainen. Even though the traffic slowed him down, his early morning exit from the track didn't help.

« My little mistake in Q3 cost me dearly. I didn't ride at all this morning then this afternoon, I never really had a clean lap, with a lot of traffic, which is very disappointing, sighs Vergne. On top of that, my car was quite different today compared to yesterday, so it wasn't easy to adapt in a few laps in Q1. »

« This morning I went for a bit in the grass, which was still wet from last night's downpour, and the car slipped away from me. We still have a good car for the race, so we'll see what we can do and how much ground we can make up tomorrow. »
